"The Circus Arrives Without Warning"

Despite our differing opinions, we can all relate to the feeling of this out-of-control ride. Mirrors are included to give us all a chance to reflect on our own part in the circus. This piece was inspired by the January 6th, 2021 insurrection, the day some of our own citizens tried to take down Democracy while the rest of us watched in horror.
I've borrowed Erin Morgenstern's beautiful opening sentence from "The Night Circus" for the title of this work because it truly says it all.
